Outpost is one of our more intense maps in Marathon. It heavily plays with the use of elevation and stacked gameplay spaces while shoving everything in a bit closer than on other maps to increase the threat posed by AI combatants and other players. It features keycard gameplay and heat cascade environment hazard which both informed how players would move about and engage with the map.
As Maps Team Lead, I was responsible for guiding this map through all phases of development through feedback, direction, and direct contributions.
